HCRI Peer Review Program
The Harper Cancer Research Institute has created a Peer Review Program (PRP) for internal grant review.
Purpose
Increase the competitiveness of extramural grant applications by in-house pre-submission peer review
Eligibility
Assistant Professors only (for now) applying for NIH, NSF, and other extramural grants (new or revised grants)
Process
- Submit Aims Page, full grant draft, or full grant and reviewers’ comments (for revisions) to HCRI portal eight (8) weeks prior to deadline
- Can request a specific reviewer(s), but assignment will depend on reviewer’s availability
- Will receive critiques from at least 2 reviewers by at least 3 weeks before deadline (bullet point, ‘sticky notes’, full review); may be identified or anonymous (up to the reviewer)
- Must affiliate grant submission with HCRI (ND faculty), HCRI will log submissions and response
