Dr. Erin N. Howe is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences and the Harper Cancer Research Institute at the University of Notre Dame. She received her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and her Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. Her research focuses on understanding the role that protein trafficking plays in controlling cancer cell adaptation to the metastatic site and immune recognition of cancer cells. This work was initiated by support from the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute, the NIH/NCI, an American Cancer Society Institutional Research Grant administered by HCRI, and most recently the METAvivor foundation.
