Harper Cancer Fitness Challenge

Harper Fitness Challenge Sakai Faculty 01

Join ND in its Fight Against Cancer

The Harper Cancer Research Institute (HCRI) at Notre Dame is holding its 3rd annual fitness challenge to help fund student researchers across campus.

HCRI forms interdisciplinary teams of researchers to pursue the complex challenges of cancer and provides researchers the resources they need to turn their ideas into actions. And we need your help.

The Harper Cancer Fitness Challenge is a week-long challenge where 100% of proceeds directly support life-saving cancer research. Last year, our participants logged 6,876 miles and 125,133 minutes of activity raising an extra $18,701.37 for cancer research. Every $10,000 raised is the equivalent of funding two student researchers for one summer.

You can join the Harper Cancer Fitness Challenge by registering today! A $10 registration fee goes directly to cancer research. Then, get active starting October 26 until November 3, and log your activity to unlock the matching gift.

Exercising is more fun with a team — so, get your friends and family involved! The total mileage and activity for all team members determine your team’s ranking on the leader board. Every 10 minutes or one mile of activity equals $1.00 for cancer research.
