Cancer Research Club & Social Event #2: Engineering New Directions in Ovarian Cancer Research
The Harper Cancer Research Institute is pleased to announce the second Cancer Research Club & Social event. Our goal of initiating this event series is to learn about relevant cancer research topics and find the opportunity to collaborate and network. An informal setting such as these events will specially make it easier for junior researchers to reach out and interact with more senior researchers.
The speaker, Dr. Sharon Stack, will present "Engineering New Directions in Ovarian Cancer Research". Dr. Stack is the Kleiderer-Pezold Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry and the Ann F. Dunne and Elizabeth Riley Director of the Harper Cancer Research Institute, University of Notre Dame. Her overall research focus is in the area of molecular mechanisms of metastasis. Understanding the molecular mechanisms by which tumor cells orchestrate multiple microenvironmental cues to regulate the metastatic dissemination is the major focus of the laboratory.
