I am currently a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Notre Dame where I serve as the Director of In Vivo Imaging within NDIIF.  In addition, I lead an independent laboratory of talented staff, post-docs, and undergraduates, with the primary goal of developing in vivoimaging strategies for non-invasive detection of disease in living mice. We routinely use combinations of PET, SPECT, X-ray CT, and optical modalities to image cancer, infection, or biodistribution of probes or nanomaterials. We utilize our technologies and strategies to advance research interactions with internal and external faculty with unique imaging applications and needs. Our work is currently funded through a combination of generous industrial sources and internal awards.  We warmly welcome new collaborations, and execute pilot studies at no charge. Overall, this approach has yielded a vibrant and collaborative research environment with faculty from the Engineering, Chemistry & Biochemistry, and Biology departments.  For more information, please see a list of our recent work at: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=leevy+wm
