New approach to mammograms could improve reliability

A publication in the journal ACS Nano reporting pre-clinical research that combines nanoparticle technology and murine breast cancer models to improve mammographic imaging in dense breast tissue was recently  highlighted in a press release from the American Chemical Society.  This work describes the results of an ongoing collaborative effort by Ryan Roeder, Associate Professor of Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering at Notre Dame and Tracy Vargo-Gogola, Senior Lecturer of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Indiana University School of Medicine-South Bend.
